Nashville has a tradition of posting billboards to promote country music. But in what may be a first for the rock side of Music City, artist-resident and Third Man Records impresario, Jack White, now has one posted to tout the success of his recent Blunderbuss LP. Here’s a shot of the electronic screen that has been flashing now for a few months on West End Avenue, just off Murphy Road.
Hollywood’s Sunset Strip has always been notable for rock billboards. One of its most famous hung in 1978 to promote Bruce Springsteen’s Darkness on the Edge of Town LP. Look at the mischief he and some of his band members confessed to committing the night before their LA concert.
