Ranking Records—The 10 Best LPs of 1975

Wow! This may have been the easiest year for me to pick my ten favorite albums. Truly a stellar year for rock music, the year 1975 also produced three LPs that appear on “My 10 Fave LPs” list, including my favorite LP of all time.

Please support my Music City Mike YouTube page by clicking the “Like” and “Subscribe” buttons below the video and by also sharing the link on your socials.

See you again soon and be sure to look back at my Ranking Records playlist for more videos if you liked this one. Together we have now covered from 1975 through 1981 as well as several different artists.

More to come and I love getting suggestions.

  1. Great picks and engaging presentation, Mike. I don’t think I’d be particularly good on camera, so I’m happy I can express my thoughts in writing! 🙂

Man, it’s quite amazing how much great music there was back in 1975.

BTW, “Born to Run” is my favorite Bruce Springsteen album as well. I also dig the Paul Simon, Wings and Bob Dylan albums you selected.

Following are my top 10 picks in no particular order:
    – Dr. Feelgood: Down by the Jetty
    – Led Zeppelin: Physical Graffiti
    – Aerosmith: Toys in the Attic
    – Fleetwood Mac: Fleetwood Mac
    – Bruce Springsteen: Born to Run
    – Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here
    – Paul Simon: Still Crazy After All These Years
    – AC/DC: T.N.T.
    – Bob Dylan: Blood on the Tracks
    – Wings: Venus

  2. I like your list a lot! You know, I don’t know that I could put a list like this together for the 2000’s!
